Rest In Peace, Nick

Nick,

We had a debriefing session today at school with the counselor. We talked about you. Can you hear us? Can you hear how much we missed you? How much you meant to us? All the times we spent together, all the parties planned, all the trips planned. Do you remember all these? Did you hear us crying for you? For what you have done to yourself? To all of us? Your friends, family, lecturers?

We cared about you, Nick. We really do. You could have come to us with whatever problems you had. We would be there for you no matter what. All of us couldn't understand why you did what you did. All of us were angry you didn't talk to us and took your life away just like that. All of us just felt lost without you, Nick. It was hard on us, Nick. It is hard to cope and accept the fact that you are gone and no longer with us. Just a day before we were talking happily, playing futsal and all that. You looked happy. Why did you do it? Why Nick, why?

All of us asked ourselves today, had we done enough to be your friends? If yes, then why didn't you come to us? Have we failed you as a friend? Have we not done enough? So many questions remained unanswered. As you go, you took a chunk, a piece of your friends with you. All of us felt hollow inside. You have a special place in our hearts. When you left, you took that piece away that no one else could replace. No one but you.

I guess you're with God now. May He keep you safe and happy always. May the angels look after you and bring you happiness. For whatever reason that made you did this, we are glad that you are no longer suffering. We miss you, Nick. We really miss you.

Rest in peace, my dear friend. You will always be in our hearts.

I hope Facebook doesn't delete your profile, so I could drop by your page once in awhile to look at your pictures and refresh my memory of you.
