Went for chemo at 8am yesterday and it took almost 6 hours to finish. As I waited for the drips to flow drop by drop, I begin to think about the carnival. It should be fun there. After the torturous 6 hours, I can finally walk free and then I took a bus to Monash. Upon arriving, friends greeted me by squirting water at me and hosed me. Ugh, what a language I used. Nevermind. It was fun though, waited for the bunch to reach and then joined them till about 5pm and then we adjourned to Pyramid to have sushi. A plan was made to proceed to Genting after everything. I was happy and excited but my mind and body tells me otherwise. I wanted to go very much, and so I shrugged off the negative feelings.
It was cold up there. The ride up was okay although a little "swerve-y" I would say. By the time I reach to the top, I was exhausted. I knew, my body was giving me a warning, to ask me to slow down. But what the heck, I'm happy with the people I was with and I'm gonna enjoy every moment of it, regardless. After hours passed, I felt my body began shutting down. I could hardly walk straight or stand still, let alone talk to anyone. I know I was quiet yesterday, but I just didn't have the energy to talk and to joke around. Many a times I felt faint and soon, I began to wonder "When can we go home?".
During the journey down, I tried to catch a wink and rest my body, but perhaps the "swerve-y" car didn't help much. It made my little tummy into a washing machine. But it was a cool ride I must say. Would love to ride again. Down on lower grounds, it was slightly better and I slept for awhile. I think.
Went home by train and reached home at about 8am and I went straight to the loo. It was all liquid. No solids. And it went on for every 10 minutes or so. I was losing bodily fluids every 15 minutes. Even as I typed this now, I am still in the process. My body has somehow turned upside down, and my little tummy doesn't seem like it belonged to me. I struggled to take a nap. I did napped for a couple of hours till I finally ate something solid. But the process went on again after the meal. It doesn't make much difference if I had eaten or not, the tummy just won't settle down quietly.
I blamed it all on chemo. Chemo in the morning coupled with the street carnival and a trip uphill doesn't blend well. It made me lose my appetite and my rationality. It made me feel lethargic. It has somehow transformed me from a cheerful, playful, naughty girl into a quiet, timid girl. That didn't helped because I really enjoyed the company I'm with, and very much wanted to join them talk, but my mood wasn't there. But I am glad the trip was made.
Just give me more time. I will recover to be the person I am before. I hope I didn't hurt anyone in the process of me being rather quiet and inactive yesterday. If I did, I am truly sorry. From the bottom of my heart.
