Dead bodies

Had a trip to UKM today. It was suppose to be an educational trip. To see dead bodies and to learn the structures of the human bodies.

Been in school at 7.30am in the morning. The bus came at 8am and took us all to UKM. It was total chaos in the bus. We were all singing songs. English songs, Malay songs, Chinese songs, heck...even Tamil songs. Geez...

Reached UKM at about 10am. We were given a short briefing before proceeding to the museum. In the museum, preserved body parts were on display. Thank God it doesn't smell in the room. If not I swear many would be throwing up. Bones, muscles and the different systems of the human body were showcased. We took the chance to look at every detail there is on the display. This trip is not something common everyday. It's a once in a lifetime chance to visit such place.

Next stop, the dissecting room. In there, dead bodies are on tables, tanks and in rooms. We were taken to see the place where the dead bodies are dissected and preserved for educational purposes. It feels sad to know that those bodies came from those unclaimed bodies. After showing us around and explaining everything we needed to know, we are given the privilege to explore those bodies. Gloves were given and we are free to feel the organs and bodies.

After the trip, I was pretty much shaken up by it. Although I learn a lot from the trip, but having the thoughts of dead bodies staring at me from the tanks doesn't really make me comfortable. I think I will have nightmares for days.

I shall skip dinner today.
